Our Expertise
Mary Staneart - Founder
My career started with a large general contractor overseeing accounts payable, payroll, job costing, receivables, contract management and assisting with project management. During that time I often saw small business owners struggling to find professional bookkeeping support - especially when hiring a full-time employee wasn’t feasible. Recognizing that need, I set out to provide reliable and efficient bookkeeping services tailored to help their small businesses succeed.
With over 25 years of experience, I have gained experience with a wide range of industries—including architects, contractors, designers, equipment repair services, financial advisors, laundromats, landlords, law firms, manufacturers, non-profits, and retail stores.
Serving others has always been at the heart of both my personal and professional life. It truly brings me joy to support others in achieving their goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, teaching piano (yes—I have a BA in Music!), and volunteering in children’s ministries at my church. I’ve been married to my husband Mike for 24 years, and we have two pretty awesome young adult children. On our days off, you’ll often find us playing card games, camping, hiking, or hosting dinners with friends and family.
Jillian Pace - Bookkeeper
With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, I bring a deep understanding of both customer-facing service and behind-the-scenes operations to my bookkeeping work. My career began in member services, where I spent many years as a teller and new accounts/lending representative helping clients manage their finances with confidence. I later transitioned into banking operations and regulatory compliance, where I gained extensive experience in ACH and check processing, dispute resolution, research, system testing, and employee training.
That foundation in financial accuracy, process management, and compliance directly supports my current role as a bookkeeper with Staneart Business Services, where I’ve spent the past three years helping small businesses maintain clarity and confidence in their financial records. I love learning how different businesses operate and finding ways to make their financial systems run more smoothly.
Outside of work, I’ve been happily married to my amazing husband for 15 years, and we’re proud parents of two wonderful daughters. I’m also active in my community—serving on the PTO board at my child’s school and coordinating childcare volunteers at our local church.
Lisa Mead - Bookkeeper
Born and raised in Michigan, I’ve built a career around something I genuinely enjoy—accounting! With over 40 years of experience—primarily in fund accounting—I’ve developed a solid foundation in financial management and a strong commitment to keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes. I hold a degree in Business Management, which allows me to combine hands-on expertise with a big-picture understanding of how organizations function. Even though I recently retired from full-time work, I have enjoyed keeping up my skills working for Staneart Business Services.
I’m proud to call Michigan home, where I enjoy a balanced life rooted in both my work and the community I care deeply about. I’ve been happily married to my husband Jerry for 34 years and am grateful for the personal and professional relationships that have shaped my journey.
